We love the outdoors and know the decisions we make today will impact our world tomorrow.
How we do business means the world to us. We weave respect and integrity into all our business and design decisions, and we refuse to compromise when it comes to how we treat people and tread on the planet.

Below is a list of certifications and memberships we are currently using.

  • Woolmark

Woolmark is a wool industry certification mark used on pure wool products that meet quality standards set by The Woolmark Company. It is a trademark owned by The Woolmark Company, which has since 2007 been a subsidiary of Australian Wool Innovation Limited. The certificate is valid for Merino Bamboo products.

  • Non-mulesing

We do only buy wool from suppliers that can provide us with a signed legal document that declares that they do not use mulesed wool.

  • GRS

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content, and labeling.

  • UPF+ certification

Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how well a fabric blocks the sun’s harmful UV rays. Merino Aero and Merino Wonder are rated UPF approved by Hohenstein laboratories, which means they provide excellent protection for long hours spent in nature.

PROJECTS

From 2021, Thermowave is a proud guardian of city bees – a huge family of almost half a million bees found home in our yard.
Every year the bee population decreases 10% in Lithuania, and 3-4 times more in the rest of the world. This is due to growing urbanization, air pollution from pesticides and the overall annihilation of their natural habitat. However, bees are completely adaptable in greener cities, such as Kaunas. Our beehives now live just one short kilometer away from The Oldtown, so there is a great chance that while enjoying a stroll around Kaunas castle you will meet our hardworking honey makers.
